Yet, in a moment of profound reflection, he chose a different path. “I got in my prayer closet and sought after the Lord,” he says. “I made this decision to get into this career without You to begin with, and this is where I’ve ended up. Where do You want me to go next?”
That prayer led to a bold decision: instead of taking the safe job, Micaiah felt called to step out in faith and start his own consulting business. It was a risky move for a young man with a family and responsibilities, but his trust in God’s guidance set the stage for what was to come.
As Micaiah navigated the early days of his entrepreneurial journey, he leaned on prayer and mentorship to guide him. One pivotal moment came during a meeting with a real estate agent while considering selling one of his homes. When Micaiah shared his mission to build a faith-driven consulting practice, the agent connected him with a friend who was doing similar work. That introduction led to a life-changing meeting with a mentor who saw Micaiah’s potential and offered to share his resources to help build the business. “I feel that the Holy Spirit is moving me to make my resources available to you,” the mentor said, in a moment Micaiah describes as “supernatural intervention.”
This encounter wasn’t just about business—it was a testament to the synergy of faith, obedience, and generosity. Dawson’s willingness to step out in faith met with his mentor’s abundance mindset, creating a partnership that propelled his career forward.
Micaiah’s story is a powerful example of what he calls “kingdom stewardship.” For him, it’s about stewarding his gifts and talents to make an impact for God’s kingdom.
