The appointment was made. My physical condition wasn’t better. Personal research on homeopathic steps previously taken had not made a dent in improving the situation.  In fact, it was worse. Oral medications were also not working. Whatever I tried, the only change was negative. It was evident that something totally different was required to achieve the results to go on……   The one who recommended the right way was a trusted doctor that I have had over 20 years. My condition was bad enough that only a powerful infusion would save my life. It would go right into my bloodstream. I start that infusion soon……

I thought back to when I received Jesus as my Savior. I remember thinking that there were similarities here. My spiritual condition was not great at all. I thought about what I could do to be good enough to get to heaven MY way. Whatever I tried, the change was only making things worse. Do this, you’ll be good. Do that, and things will be OK. Yet, things weren’t! How could I remedy the payment of a life with many sins? It was bad, because God doesn’t allow sin in His presence. But Jesus shed His blood for us. My transformation from what I was to who I am now, was done through HIS blood. There is a song that describes that process where Jesus’ blood is what God sees when leaving this life. The prescription for that is having HIS blood flow through ME, so God sees Jesus’ blood and not anything that I contributed!

There is a song called “I’m a Child of the King”. It’s lyrics tell a story of how Jesus died on the cross as a substitute for each of us, and how being a Christian means surrendering “ours” for “His”.

So, as I am receiving the infusion of a medication that will sustain my life, I will be reminded of what the Lord did for me to sustain me in the life to come.

The prescription for the meds was made from one who knows.

The prescription for eternal life was made from THE One who knows.
