John 12:23-24 says:  “And Jesus answered them, saying, the hour is come, that the Son of man should be glorified. Verily, verily, I say unto you, except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abides alone: but if it dies, it bringeth forth much fruit.

There are other passages of Scripture that mention this scientific fact., But let’s focus on this one Biblical selection, taking as an assumption that it is not a garden at the equator.

• When we want to plant something for our garden in the spring, we have to get a “starter”.
• We either have to buy a package of seeds (which are “dead”) as a starter, or live plants grown from seeds (which were “dead”) for our convenience and schedule.
• The obvious truth is that plants have some kinds of flowering outgrowth, whose parts have to be fertilized to produce a “fruit” (which can be a watermelon or an acorn). These built-in seeds are equipped into every species so that it can reproduce itself a like kind.
• We also know as a truth that we can’t plant pumpkin seeds and expect avocados.
• It has to be noticed that seeds never appear when the plant is in an immature stage. There are no green bean flowers that appear when there are only 6 leaves on the sprout. There are no “helicopter” seedlings on a maple tree when it is only 12” tall.
• The amazing factor that God built into everything is that in every seed, there is a plant that will produce many more fruits with a lot more seeds. That, in turn, will produce increasingly exponential amounts of plants, and thereby more seeds. The seeds aren’t released until the fruit falls off and rots (meaning turns into fertilizer for the seeds to start on). The plant then dies.

 

How long does a seed last, and still be viable?  A 2000-year-old Judean Date Palm seed was found at the archaeological site of Masada in Israel and was germinated in 2005, growing into a male tree named “Methuselah,” a testament to the resilience of seeds stored in dry, cool conditions.  In other words…….some things can take a while. The main key to all of this is that the life cycles of all things are governed by God Himself. Some have shorter cycles, some are longer.

 

Stephen was martyred per Acts chapter 7, and his death launched the momentum of the early church.

 

In Acts 19:8-10, Paul’s messages in the synagogue for three months provoked so many that Paul withdrew and debated in the School of Tyrannus for two YEARS. Look at how productive Paul was!

 

Charlie Kirk had NO idea that his death actually met his audacious goals of expanding the awareness of logic, faith, and love. God Himself determined Charlie’s flower had matured, his fruit was ready to fall, and the seeds contained from the highest calling are erupting GLOBALLY. Absolutely incredible!! He not only produced more “Charlie Kirks”; God is blossoming a movement in HIS name and kind.
