I waited patiently for the Lord; He turned to me and heard my cry. He lifted me out of the slimy pit, out of the mud and mire; He set my feet on a rock and gave me a firm place to stand. Psalm 40:1-2

God has done a similar thing to us as believers.  He’s lifted us out of our lost state and given us clarity as to the truth about him.  We are no longer drudging through life without hope or purpose.  Our jobs, regardless of how meaningless they seem to be at times, have taken on a new meaning.  We have a firm place to stand in Christ.  During these uncertain times, we can be certain that, not only does Jesus have the answer, but Jesus is the answer.

There may be challenges in your work environment which limit your ability to discuss your faith.  That’s understandable and we need to be respectable to work place rules.  What we should not be, is a secret agent for Jesus.  Let your love, joy, peace, goodness, kindness, gentleness, patience, self-control and faithfulness speak for you.  Be that individual that stands out for the right reasons.  Remember we are not of this world.  As your walk establishes you as a good kind of “different,” you have credibility.  Your co-workers may start to seek you out and inquire why you don’t worry or why are you always so positive?  The question now is how do you respond?

I think it’s OK to give God the credit for that.  Remember the importance of timing and place when you move into deeper discussions.  The fact that God choose us to be his messengers, continues to blow me away!  Don’t just move into action, pray about the situation.  Before you go to a man about thee man, be sure to go to thee man about the man.  So, as the Holy Spirit places a co-worker or loved one on your heart, start to pray.  Pray that God lifts the veil over their heart and allows them to hear and understand the truth which you are about to present.  Pray for the perfect opportunity to present the truth about Jesus.  When that opportunity presents itself, move forward in Love.  God will give you the words.  Don’t minimize the significance of your testimony and how Jesus changed your life.  How about asking them if there is something in which you may pray for them.

But blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, whose confidence is in Him.  Jeremiah 17:7
